Pretty, graceful, and good humored, Ginger Rogers was widely popular in the 1930's. Her greatest fame came as Fred Astaire's dancer partner in a series of 30's musicals. Her defining role was with Astaire in "Top Hat." Other notable films include: "Flying Down To Rio," "The Major and the Minor," and "The Barkeleys of Broadway."

Ginger Rogers won the Best Actress award for "Kitty Foyle."
