Grew up in West Philadelphia, earning the nick name, "Prince," because he had skill at charming his way out of trouble. First success was in rap music, with Jeff Townes as DJ.Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. Received two Grammies for rap music songs: PARENTS JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND and SUMMERTIME. For 6 years, was a star of T.V. Sitcom, 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air'. First movie was SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION, which got him noticed by the industry. His transfer from TV to films was set in stone by his role in BAD BOYS. |
