Jim Broadbent (1949 - ) Jim Broadbent was born on May 24th, 1949 in Lincolnshire, England. His father, Roy Broadbent was a furniture maker and his mother, Dee was a sculptress. In 1972, he graudated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. This talented actor performed in productions of Royal National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company, as well as finding steady gigs in British television. Jim Broadbent started his film career in 1978, in "The Shout." The film that got him international attention was Mike Leigh's comedy, "Life is Sweet." This supporting character actor's film career started to roll with such films as "The Crying Game" and "Bullets Over Broadway." In 2001, Broadbent was in three well-reviewed films: "Bridget Jone's Diary," "Moulin Rouge," and "Iris." Jim Broadbent's other film credits include: THE PASSAGE His Television credits include...
